ProtonDB

ProtonDB is a website that hosts reviews of how games perform on the tool Proton, that was made by Valve Software(Steam). The short explanation of Proton is that it makes playing Windows games on Linux simple.

This website is a life saver and we recommend looking up a game on ProtonDB before purchasing it to play on the Steam Deck. There is even a Decky Plugin that shows the ProtonDB badges on games in your library. Watch the Decky Loader video in Tutorials to see how to set up plugins.

Hades

Defy the god of the dead as you hack and slash out of the Underworld in this rogue-like dungeon crawler from the creators of Bastion, Transistor, and Pyre.

If you like Greek Mythology and/or just want to kill things repeatedly, this might be the game for you. This game is probably in our top 5 all time. It is extremely addicting, and rewards skilled gameplay.

Baldur's Gate 3

Baldur’s Gate 3 is a story-rich, party-based RPG set in the universe of Dungeons & Dragons, where your choices shape a tale of fellowship and betrayal, survival and sacrifice, and the lure of absolute power.

I played this game for over 150 hours in just one month after buying it. This game is a masterpiece and runs pretty well on the Steam Deck if you can get used to the controls. My partner has played a couple hundred hours and didn't have a complaint about performance.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

You are Geralt of Rivia, mercenary monster slayer. Before you stands a war-torn, monster-infested continent you can explore at will. Your current contract? Tracking down Ciri — the Child of Prophecy, a living weapon that can alter the shape of the world.

The Witcher 3 is an RPG that has you play as Geralt of Rivia, who is a member of a group of mercenary monster slayers called Witchers. It is a once in a lifetime experience that I think no one should miss out on playing. I played the entire game on Steam Deck and loved every minute of it.
